Every year, AIM sets aside one night to stop and celebrate. We call it the Victory Banquet. If you've never been, you might wonder why a dinner is so important to an organization like AIM. Isn't there always more work to do?
There is. That's exactly why we celebrate.

What victory looks like at AIM
Most of the victories at AIM are small enough to miss. They look like a kid at ThriveKids on a Tuesday night who finally trusts that the adults in the room will be there next time too. A teenager at LIFT who keeps coming back on Wednesdays until a volunteer becomes someone they actually talk to. A family who walks into the food pantry in a hard month and leaves with groceries and someone who knows their name.
None of that makes the news. But it's how kids grow into strong, Christian adults, and it's the whole reason AIM exists. Everything we do comes back to one belief: if we can partner with the home, a child in that home has a much better chance to thrive and experience the Gospel message.
The Victory Banquet is the one night a year we gather all of those small victories into one room and say thank you to the people who made them possible.
Where next year gets built
Last November, I stood up at the banquet and told the room what was missing. Our staff needed to grow, and we didn't have anyone whose job was to focus on families, walking with them from their first visit to real independence. We asked the people in that room to help us change that.
They did. Our new Director of Social Work and Family engagement will be at this year's banquet. We can't wait for you to meet her.
That's what the Victory Banquet really is. It isn't just a nice dinner. It's the night where next year's ministry gets built.

Light Of The City
This year's theme is Light Of The City: Be the light. Change the city.
You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.
Matthew 5:14
We don't think of light as something flashy. In Southeast Atlanta, light looks like consistency. It's a mentor who shows up every week. It's a pantry that's open when it says it will be. It's a church that keeps praying for the same kids by name, year after year.
None of us can change a city alone. But a room full of people who decide to be that kind of light can change a lot of kids' stories, and over time, that's how a city changes.
Join us on November 5
You'll share a meal with people who love our neighborhood, hear real stories from kids and families in our programs, and have a chance to invest in what God is doing through AIM in 2027.

Bring a friend who's never heard of AIM. Some of our most faithful partners first walked into the banquet as someone's guest.
And if you can't make it that night, you can still be part of the story. Join the Circle of Hope at aimatlanta.org/circleofhope and become one of the steady lights our families count on all year long.
We hope to see you there.
